The presentation is designed so that attendees will understand:

1. 10 nationally accepted "key findings" regarding violent school events and their associated implications for Law Enforcement and School officials,
2. How law enforcement across the nation defines "active shooter" and "hostage/barricade" events, and how they respond to these two different types of events,
3. How employees of educational facilities can respond when directly confronted with one of these violent events to increase the physical and psychological survival of their students and themselves during and after a violent event.
